Persian art has one of the richest art heritages in world history and has been strong in many media including architecture, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking and sculpture.
Unfortunately, as rich as Persian art is there is no exact terminology to determine different style of Persian painting and calligraphy. For example, in English we know “Negargari” by the word Persian miniature which is not a suitable phrase to define this style as Persian Negargari has technical difference with European miniature art and Philosophical/aesthetic difference with Chinese miniature art. With all that being said at least Negargari is well known in the world of art while sadly some Persian painting style like “tasheer” don’t have any phrase to define by for international audience.
With all that said it feels necessary to describe every painting style that we use in our product so the international audience could know the story behind every art piece.
